The turnout for Art Night was fantastic! Thanks again to Gwynn for helping mount all of the art work and for helping to put it up. Our docents made me proud the way they took their job so seriously and shared their knowledge of the art work with anybody who passed by.

We will spend as much time as possible on the Oregon Trail simulation in the next few weeks. There are a many miles to travel and lots of information to learn during this unit. Lately, students learned of some of the hazards involved in crossing rivers with a loaded wagon.

We are finishing up our unit on fractions and decimals and heading into a pre-algebra unit. There are a lot of fun activities in this section and I am looking forward to presenting it to the class.

For math homework, please spend a few minutes a night on either IXL (Section T on decimals is recommended), Front Row Math, or Lymboo. Spelling homework is the Scott-Foresman worksheets for the test on Friday, and of course, the reading logs are due on Friday.

Our class is back in the Technology Lab for a half hour a day until the end of May. The students are working with Mr. Jamesbarry on MakeyMakey boards (ask your child what they are) and keyboarding skills. The kids are loving it!
